Farmers Engage

Following on from the Hop Farmer Hop, vision and message posted on the ELIAKIM blog,  its good to look at what the farmers union are up to. Remember the hop is harvested in September. On the 23rd of April the National Farmers Union launched 'British Food Forthnight' and it will run from the 18th September - 3rd October. That also links in with harvest time given by the vision of the hop.

"Hairy Bikers, royalty and buyers from the nation’s retailers took to the stage to welcome NFU member and poultry farmer James Potter as the face of British Food Fortnight 2010 in the Grand Hall of Westminster Cathedral yesterday.

British Food Fortnight, which will encourage the whole of the country, including schools, hospitals, restaurants, supermarkets, universities and care homes, to celebrate everything that is tasty for two weeks from 18 September to 3 October this year.

Welcoming the growth of the event since 2002 when it was set around the traditional harvest festival the celebrity chefs and television duo Hairy Bikers said: “British food is second to none, encouraging everyone to take part in British Food Fortnight gives us all the opportunity to celebrate the renaissance of British food.” [1]

It was in 2002, that I was blessed to work with Archangel Michael on how important it is to eat from food grown on the land on which you live.  At that time he explained that certain foods were given for divine purpose to match the vibrational frequencies of the people that were born on the land. It is important to ensure that what you eat is harmonically compatible with your mind, body and soul. It if isn't then people can experience ill-health due to incompatibility. If you are experiencing any health problems then it is a good idea to see a health kinesiologist to check out what it is your body does not like to consume.

Also remember it makes no sense financially or ecologically to ship food from one side of the world to the other. Instead of shipping food to third world countries, humanity should be giving the people the means to grow their own food to ensure they can become self-sustainable.

INTERNATIONAL WIND CONFERENCE
The NFU also have a chief renewable energy advisor, Jonathan Scurlock and he will be speaking at the International Wind Conference in Glasgow on the 27/28th April. He will be addressing a seminar for farmers and landowners. Its very good to see the NFU, Landowners and Farmers engaging in the plans to build an ecological and self-sustainable future.

God bless them and all that they do to keep our lands green and the food healthy for humanity.
